The protagonist’s wife, despite her title, had barely any presence in the story—just a character vaguely mentioned as a “wicked wife” in passing. The novel itself was a tale of warring heroes in a chaotic era, with nearly all main characters being men. It seemed like this wife existed solely as a convenient excuse for the stoic protagonist to avoid falling for any women during his adventures.

As expected, my “heroic husband” marched off to battle on the day of our wedding and showed no signs of returning, continually moving from one battlefield to the next.
