Red-eyed people face severe discrimination from birth since they are thought to have stolen the color of gems and are therefore sinners. Garnet was raised in prison and was born with red eyes despite being this nation’s princess. Though she was meant to be sacrificed into a pit at the base of a cliff, she was drawn to her caregiver kid, Spinel.
