The God of Basketball

In the spring of 2006, Stanford’s backup guard Li Zhen, who was about to be laid off, woke up in thunder.

A voice sounded in his head: “There are too many basketball players in this world who squander the gift of God. As long as you work hard enough, I will punish evil and promote good, and help you grab their talent.”

“Every action done to hurt you will be punished, and you will get the talent of the perpetrator.”

“And … if someone loves you unreservedly, you will also promote …”

“You are the real natural choice.”

“You will be the god of basketball beyond that old rogue.”
