The Demon King is defeated. The world is saved. Now there’s nothing left to do.

Having retired, the Hero spends his days in a quiet rural town, playing with children and living a slow-paced life. But in doing so, he has completely lost any sense of purpose in his life.

Meanwhile, the other members of the party who helped defeat the Demon King have gone on to achieve their own successes: the female knight has become a beloved ruler of her domain, the sage is now a respected headmaster of a magic academy in the royal capital, and the necromancer has established a transportation company connecting distant regions.

One day, the Hero rescues a girl being pursued by bandits.

“I… I only remember my name.”

“Really? Well, that’s fine. I can’t hear people’s names anyway.”

“Huh?”

“Oh, and I can’t say my own name either. I got hit with a curse like that from the Demon King.”

“Huh?”

“But don’t worry. We’ll figure something out.”

“What do you mean by ‘don’t worry’!?”

He defeated the bandits. He picked up a girl. Maybe he’s found something to do again.
