During the Republic Era of China, Shen Zhi Heng, a famous vampire who lived for hundreds of years, was almost assassinated by a group of masked soldiers. Shen was saved by the blind girl Mi Lan with the help of his friend, Situ Wei Lian. After his rescue, Shen Zhi Heng seeks to repay Mi Lan, only to discover that her family situation is dire, leading him to take a greater interest in her well-being.

However, his attempt to retaliate against the mastermind behind his assassination to the cunning Li Ying Liang fails, when he is caught by Li Ying Liang’s Japanese superior, who begins to suspect Shen Zhi Heng’s true identity. From then on, Li Ying Liang and the Japanese relentlessly pursue Shen Zhi Heng, determined to uncover the secrets he harbors.
