Closed Door

A few months before turning twenty, Roy loses his grandmother when a robber breaks into their store. Left alone, Roy is deceived by a con man named Lee Dongjae who approaches him at his grandmother’s funeral pretending to be an acquaintance. Roy is only used and then mu*dered by Dongjae. Wanting revenge but unable to do anything, Roy closes his eyes filled with regret.

When he opens his eyes again, he has returned to the day of his grandmother’s funeral.

At that funeral, Dongjae appears again, claiming to owe a debt of gratitude to Roy’s grandmother. Not missing this chance for revenge, Roy grits his teeth and beats up the shameless Dongjae, sending him to prison.

Even though he got his revenge, Roy’s only family, his grandmother, is gone. Remembering his previous exhausting life, Roy firmly closes the door to his heart. People offer words of comfort to Roy as he runs the seolleongtang restaurant his grandmother left behind, but it all feels fake to him.

Another person appears before the cynical Roy.

Like Dongjae, this man also claims to have a connection with Roy’s grandmother – Han Seonwoo.

Despite his flashy appearance, the man is polite and obedient, with a strange obsession that contrasts with his submissive attitude. He frequents the restaurant like a stalker, waiting for Roy all day like a tamed dog-.

Characters

Han Seonwoo (Top)

He has regenerative abilities with high physical recovery. Raised in a government-run orphanage, he continued to work as a government-affiliated hunter after awakening his powers. His warmest memory is of being fed by Roy’s grandmother when he was young. When he hears the news of the grandmother’s passing, he goes to find Roy, but Roy doesn’t believe him.

Even though Roy has become prickly and sharp unlike before, Seonwoo finds it purely endearing and heartwarming. He volunteers to be a devoted supporter, giving generously as he finds Roy cute to death.

Cho Roy (Bottom)

Originally kind-hearted and cheerful, he became cynical after being scammed, killed, and then regressing. Falling into distrust of humanity, he resolves never to be taken advantage of like a fool again. However, Han Seonwoo, who appears after Roy’s grandmother passes away, approaches Roy consistently with kindness even when Roy pushes him away coldly. While insisting he’ll never trust people again, Roy can’t help but worry about Seonwoo who keeps getting hurt.

One day, he suddenly gains the ability to open doors that can transport to specific spaces.
