This is the story of a privileged, beautiful girl, Xu Yiling, who uses the earnest Lu Wei as a stand-in for a year before trying to dump him.

She then discovers that the seemingly compliant, puppy-like boy she thought she could control has become someone…else. Perhaps Xu Yiling’s biggest regret was her flamboyant pursuit of Lu Wei during their freshman year, creating the false impression that she’d genuinely cared for him.

Now, when she finally decides it’s time to end things, the straight-laced, model student Lu Wei she once knew is gone.
