Alex accidentally traveled to the Ruin universe of the Marvel Comics.

In this world, everything is hopeless. There are no superheroes here. The things that should have given heroes superpowers in turn, killed them.

After Peter Parker was bitten by a spider, he did not become Spider-Man. Instead, he was infected with the disease and died on the street.

After finally escaping from this universe, Alex was horrified to find that the multiverse was already collapsing. What awaited him would be one apocalyptic universe after another…
