Haun’s life has been nothing but hardship and misfortune.

Burdened by debt left by his runaway father, Haun meets a man named Damien, who is searching for “Do Haun from the Department of Oriental Medicine at Doan University.”

Damien, exuding an inexplicably strange atmosphere, hands Haun a business card from the Disease Control Research Institute and offers him a large sum of money in exchange for entering into a contract to research a new drug with him.

The catch? It’s not in Korea.

Eager to escape his grim reality, Haun accepts the offer to go abroad for the research.
